Unicat Attack! is a series of electronic music parties which combine live performances and DJ sets, with each event also being a release party for a compilation of original electronic music on cassette tape and online streaming platforms.The whole thing is themed around unicorn cats with each event and tape adorned with a different version of the unicat created by a guest artist. The aim of Unicat Attack! is to create a fun, playful event which introduces new and interesting types of electronic music to different audiences and gives DJs and live artists an opportunity to reach new audiences.

This release features two tracks from Unicat's first double city event and collaboration with another label -- Chengdu's Nurture Records -- with German born Beijing based producer Tim Somnia serving up some cold wave vibes tugging at the heart strings with ‘Love Finds You’, and Bass Ventura, Pitch Detective treating us to an off kilter slow jam ‘Unicalibration’; the beautiful zombie cat artwork which adorns both the cassette and poster was also designed by Dan Rothwell of Bass Ventura, Pitch Detective fame.


独角猫攻击!是一系列结合现场表演和DJ组合的电子音乐派对，每一场活动都是在卡带和在线流媒体平台上发布原创电子音乐的派对。每一场活动都以独角兽猫为主题，胶带上装饰着一位客座艺术家创作的不同版本的独角猫。独角猫攻击的目标!创造一个有趣的活动，向不同的观众介绍新的和有趣的电子音乐类型，并让DJ和现场艺术家有机会接触新的观众。

为了庆祝独角猫攻击!的首次双城活动以及与另一个厂牌的首次合作，在欢乐时光购买跃啤酒的啤时，将会赠送独角猫攻击!第四的盒式录音带。出生于北京的德国制作人蒂姆·索姆尼亚Tim Somnia在(Love Finds You)中提供了一些冷波震动，拨动心弦， Bass Ventura, Pitch Detective给我们演奏了一曲不平衡的慢歌《Unicalibration》;盒式磁带和海报上美丽的僵尸猫图案也是由因Bass Ventura, Pitch Detective而出名的Dan Rothwell设计的。

TIM SOMNIA’s sound conveys images of intense feelings - love and loss, friendship and anxiety, of despair and not giving a f*** - and all the spaces in-between.
